Month at a glance:

Language:  -pre/during/post reading strategies, prefixes and suffixes and how they help us understand the meaning of unfamiliar words, characteristics of informational texts, persuasive writing, letter writing

Math: -place value (Grade 4 to 5-digits and Grade 5 to 6-digits plus decimals to hundredths), representing/comparing/ordering/rounding numbers, number patterns, and connecting patterning to data management, money

Science:

January at a glance:   **REMINDER: FRIDAY, JANUARY 17 IS A PA DAY. October at a glance:  **REMINDER: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11 IS A PA DAY AND MONDAY, OCTOBER 14 IS THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY.** French: In French, we are continuing to build our vocabulary, introducing places around town and the verb forms of ALLER.  We will be working on using the appropriate forms of adjectives in our writing to write an effective description. In reading, we will continue to develop reading strategies to help identify the meanings of unfamiliar words.
