JANUARY

January at a glance: **REMINDER: FRIDAY, JANUARY 17 IS A PA DAY. There will be no school for students on that day.*
French: In French, we are continuing to build our vocabulary related to descriptive language, with a focus on comparative adjectives, adverbs, foods, and leisure activities. We will continue to use the appropriate forms of adjectives and adverbs in our writing. We will write letters and use the imperative verb forms to write procedures. In reading, we will continue to develop reading strategies to help identify the meanings of unfamiliar words and look at the characteristics of graphic texts. We will apply what we learn in reading responses based on simple French texts which the students will select on their own.
Math: We are finishing up our work on Area and Perimeter and we will move on to 2D Geometry and some transformational geometry.
